![]() ![]() It definitely has that Gothic feel to it and so many unexpected twists. This bestseller was one of the first books I read after I finished my undergrad degree and started reading in earnest again. Right? The sequel is equally delightful and I’m looking forward to the third one next year! The money would go a looooong way.but she’s not going to kill someone. Is there life beyond her bookshelves or is it better to stay home and read?įinlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimanoįinlay Donovan is having a rough go of it – her husband left her for another woman, she’s struggling to financially support her two young children, and the book she’s supposed to be turning into her editor is basically non-existent. If books are your love language, this book about Nina, who works in a bookstore and lives a solitary life, is for you! Her whole world is turned upside down when the father she never knew dies and she suddenly discovers a large family she didn’t know existed. The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman This book is absolutely stunning – it’s a young adult book about an orphan girl who teaches herself how to read from stolen books and the story is brilliantly narrated by Death (I know it sounds weird but it works incredibly well). The audiobook version has a full cast that really brings it to life because the characters are SUCH big parts of the story! ( Full review here) This epistolary novel (all written in letters) is a delightful WWII novel about a group of book lovers thrown together by the war and their letters to each other that often end up being about their favorite books – my mom gave me a copy years ago when it first came out and I’ve read it multiple times. Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows Did I shed a few tears in the closing chapters? I might have. It takes place just after the close of World War II and the characters range from a widowed doctor to a Hollywood movie star. The resulting audiobook, with cover & 4 chapters, ended up being 1:10:18. mp3 files, & the conversion only took 2 minutes at the most. In preferences, you can also choose whether to add the new audiobook to iTunes, the sample rate, mono or stereo, the bitrate, whether or not to enable chapters, & a maximum volume length of 1 hour up to 24 hours. Then I dragged & dropped the album cover into the window labeled “Cover”, typed in the author name, book name, & narrator name in the main window & simply dragged & dropped the files into the window labeled files. I created one with the obvious name of AudioBookBinder. When you initially download the app, it will direct you to pick a folder where you’d like to save your newly bound audiobooks. For me, it’s a quicker way to identify what you have. I, personally, appreciate the ability to see the art when viewing all my books in one window, rather than just greyed-out, blank squares. You can also add the album art, if you prefer to see the cover on your audiobooks. This application quickly & easily binds separate. ![]()
